    NOTE: Applicants who meet the Scholarship criteria may be considered for one Service Award.
    Service Award:
    St. John’s University offers a Service Award for new, full-time, undergraduate students who are a dependent child of a Police Officer, Fire Fighter, or U.S. Military Service Member. To be considered for this scholarship, please answer the questions below regarding your qualifying relative. Students are limited to one Service Award and awards are limited to domestic students. Eligibility requirements and more information about this award can be found online at stjohns.edu/scholarships.

    NOTE:  ​​Students who select the Biology (with NYIT Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Pathway Opportunity) major will be considered for the Biology portion of this program at St. John’s University. Admittance to the NYIT DO portion of the program is earned separately and eligible students will be notified of the necessary steps to complete this process.
    NOTE: Professional licensure and certification requirements often vary from state to state. St. John’s University has not determined requirements for individual states beyond New York. If you reside or plan to reside outside New York you are strongly encouraged to contact the appropriate state licensing agency in that state to seek information and guidance before beginning the program.

    • Applicants applying for admission to Fine Arts, Graphic Design and Illustration are not required to submit a portfolio for admission consideration.
    • Students interested in being considered for the St. John’s University Fine Arts Scholarship should submit their portfolio via SlideRoom by January 15, 2026.

    Test Optional
    Applicants may apply to St. John's University with or without standardized test scores. If you elect to apply "test optional" (aka without SAT/ACT scores), your standardized test scores will not be required for admission to St. John's University. If you elect to apply with standardized test scores (SAT/ACT), your test scores will be required to receive an admission decision and reviewed as part of your candidacy for admission.

    • You must be a citizen of the United States or have taken 4 years of high school coursework in the US in order to apply as a test optional applicant.    
    • Test optional applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a resume, extracurricular activity sheet, essay and/or letter(s) of recommendation in support of their application.

    • St. John's University reserves the right to request additional documentation from any applicant.
